Where is Jennifer Kahn Jewelry made?

All Jennifer Kahn Jewelry pieces are designed and handmade in Vermont. Many designs are created in small batches or as one-of-a-kind pieces using natural stones, Sterling Silver, brass and silk wraps. Our Studio and Showroom are located in the Soda Plant:

What does OOAK mean?

OOAK stands for “One of a Kind.” These pieces are made as single, unique designs and are not duplicated once sold.

Are your stones natural?

Yes. We primarily work with natural gemstones, minerals, fossils, shells and found natural materials. Because these materials are natural, each stone will have its own unique variations, inclusions, textures, colors and markings.

Will my jewelry look exactly like the photos?

Because our jewelry is handmade and often uses natural materials, slight variations are part of what makes each piece unique. Lighting, screen settings and the natural characteristics of stones and metals can also affect appearance.

What metals do you use?

Our jewelry primarily features:

• Brass
• Oxidized Sterling Silver
• Oxidized Brass
• Copper accents
• Gold Vermeil on select designs

Will brass tarnish?

Brass naturally develops a patina over time, which many people love for its organic, earthy character. If desired, brass can easily be polished to restore brightness. Brass chain, which we use with brass pendants, can turn skin green, especially in the heat of  summer months, on the back of the neck.

How should I care for Sterling Silver jewelry?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time. To help preserve shine:

• Store jewelry in a dry place
• Avoid prolonged moisture exposure
• Remove before swimming or showering
• Use a polishing pad or paper when needed, we have Polishing Pouches.
  

Does your Jewelry contain Nickel? What are your earrings made of?

There is no nickel in my jewelry, earwires are made of Sterling Silver. If you have sensitivity to Sterling Silver we can always trade them out for Surgical Steel or Titanium earwires. 

Can I wear my jewelry in water?

We recommend removing jewelry before swimming, bathing or prolonged water exposure to help preserve metals, finishes, silk wraps and natural materials.

Are your earrings lightweight?

Many of our earrings are intentionally designed to feel comfortable and lightweight for everyday wear. We also offer a dedicated Everyday Lightweight Earrings collection for especially easy-to-wear styles.

How do I know the size of a piece?

Each listing includes a Product Details and Size Guide section with measurements such as:

• Total earring length
• Stone dimensions
• Hoop sizes
• Necklace chain lengths
• Pendant sizes

Please review measurements carefully before purchasing.

What necklace lengths do you offer?

Many necklaces use adjustable 16"/18" chains, though lengths may vary by design. Chain information is listed within each product description.

Do you offer adjustable rings?

Many of our rings are adjustable. Listings will specify when a ring is adjustable.

Orders & Shipping

How long will my order take to ship?

Most ready-to-ship orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Please note we are closed Sundays and Mondays (so online orders placed on Saturday evenings will ship on Tuesdays). During holidays or busy seasons, processing times may occasionally be longer.

Do you offer International shipping?

Shipping availability may vary depending on destination. Shipping options available to your location will appear during checkout.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Tracking information is typically emailed once your order ships.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Local pickup options will appear during checkout.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us promptly with photos and order information so we can help resolve the issue.

Yes. Chakra-related pieces include accompanying chakra information cards and a chakra mini guide.

Custom Work & Availability:

Do you take custom orders?

Occasionally we accept custom or special requests depending on schedule and materials availability. Generally they are within the realm of what I already make but maybe a different size or metal or stone...

Will sold out pieces return?

Some designs may return, while many OOAK pieces and certain stone combinations are permanently unavailable once sold.
