Year of the Horse Earrings with Turquoise - Brass

February 17th brought us the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Fire Horse — a symbol of rapid change, intense energy, passion, and transformation. Often described as a “peak of fire” year, it represents burning away the old to make room for bold new beginnings, innovation, movement, and powerful shifts.

While thinking about what to create in honor of this energy, I remembered seeing ancient horse coins and began researching their imagery. This design was inspired by a bronze Ancient Greek coin from 400–350 BCE depicting a prancing horse. It also carries the spirit of ancient horse cave paintings like those of Lascaux.

These oxidized brass earrings pair the horse medallions with Turquoise accents, adding earthy color and grounding to the ancient-inspired design.

Stone Meaning: Turquoise is often associated with protection, wisdom, grounding, and clear communication.
