Opal Teardrop Dew Drop Earrings in Sterling Silver

October’s birthstone is Opal, and I was excited to bring these beautiful gemstones into one of my classic Dew Drop designs. Each earring is made with three Sterling Silver chains in evenly staggered lengths, each ending in a faceted teardrop Opal. The earrings mirror one another, creating a graceful cascading pair with six Opals in total.

I especially love the movement in this design. The chains allow the gemstones to shift independently as you wear them, catching the light and showing off the subtle flashes that make Opal so magical.

Stone Meaning
Opal has long been associated with creativity, inspiration and joy. Its name is believed to trace back to the Sanskrit word upala, meaning “precious stone,” and its shifting play of color has inspired stories and symbolism for centuries. Opal is also associated with the Sacral Chakra.
