MOON AND SUN COMBO TAROT CARD Necklace, Sterling Silver chain

$160

We offer my sculpted "The Sun" and "The Moon" Tarot card pendants as both earrings and necklaces in other listings, seen here: but I decided to create a mixed pairing using one of each to make earrings as well as this necklace!

THE MOON!
I sculpted this piece using the Rider-Waite Tarot Moon card as it's one of the most common tarot decks. Here the full moon is bright in the night’s sky, positioned between two large towers. The Moon is a symbol of intuition, dreams, and the unconscious. Its light is dim compared to the sun, and only slightly illuminates the path to higher consciousness winding between the two towers. In the foreground is a small pool, representing the watery, subconscious mind. A small crayfish crawls out of the pool, symbolizing the early stages of consciousness unfolding. A dog and a wolf stand in the grassy field, howling at the moon, representing both the tamed and the wild aspects of our minds. I had to simplify the design a bit to make it viewable at such a small size.

I love this interpretation of the card: The moon's light can bring you clarity and understanding and you should allow your intuition to guide you through this darkness. You need to be aware of the situations that are causing fear and anxiety in your mind, whether it is now or in the future. It alerts you not to allow inner disturbances and self-deception to take the best of you. These deep memories and fears must be let go, and the negative energies must be released and turned into something constructive.

The SUN!
I also sculpted this piece using the Rider-Waite Sun card. A. E. Waite suggested that this card is associated with attained knowledge. The conscious mind prevails over the fears and illusions of the unconscious. Innocence is renewed through discovery, bringing hope for the future.

This card is generally considered positive. It is said to reflect happiness and contentment, vitality, self-confidence, and success. Sometimes referred to as the best card in tarot, it represents good things and positive outcomes to current struggles.

Each pendant is 1 1/8" long x 5/8" wide and we placed each back-to-back allowing you to decide which Tarot card presents itself to the world and which stays closer to your heart. These are suspended on our 16-18" adjustable Silver chains. (We can also make them longer for you, by request.)
