This workshop explores the ancient art of fire manipulation using palm torches. We will embody our inner goddess & activate the fire within! Participants will learn basic fire safety practices before journeying through introductory palm torch moves. From there, we'll build a simple yet stunning choreographed dance. No previous fire dance experience is necessary. 

This will take place the day before the full moon in Capricorn. First we'll chat about the moon and how to work with it. Then everyone will create a necklace or earrings. You'll get to comb through my Nomadic Collection of amulets and meaningful treasures. $50 of your payment will be put toward your Nomad Necklace or Earrings! Plan to budget between $50-$150 more for your necklace or earrings depending on what pieces and how many you choose. Then you'll wear your new jewelry for our fire dance - we're planning to have a photographer onsite for epic photos!

Kim Cleary is a professional fire performer with over a decade of prop manipulation experience. She co-founded Cirque de Fuego, a Vermont-based fire performance troupe, with her husband in 2013. She has experience building & performing in choreographed groups for large audiences of 50,000 people (Burning Man), as well as solo pieces for intimate shows. Kim has attended flow art & fire festival retreats throughout the years, and actively educates others by offering workshops. Additionally, she co-produces fire-centric events, such as Cirque de Fuego’s Fire Theater series, which opens opportunities for community to deepen their experience with fire arts.

We'll pull oracle cards, enjoy yummy food and drink mocktails. We're so excited to offer this peak summer event in the spirit of self expression, adornment and community!
