Shimmering Opals for October
Lit by a fire within...
I've always loved October's birthstone, the shimmering opal! These precious stones are thought to spark creativity and enjoyment of life, a reflection of the way the light dances inside them. I love the way they play with different metals, and how they reflect every shade of the rainbow depending on the angle of the light.
I've sourced some beautiful raw stones and beads for new pieces this month. It was hard to capture them in a still photo, since each one has so many colors inside it!

A Partial Eclipse this Libra Season...

October 2nd brings a partial solar eclipse in Libra for the Southern Hemisphere. Since it mirrors a similar eclipse in Libra last fall, this one invites you to reflect on the year that's passed in between. Even if you don't have Libra in your own chart, it's worth considering how you find your own balance of integrity and justice in the face of conflict, a reflection of Libra's symbol that represents scales.
