PICTURE Jasper dangle Earrings #1

I've been on the hunt for more "PICTURE" JASPERS and I finally found a few more bookmatched pairs that are insanely beautiful! Appropriately named for looking like little landscape paintings, the ones that I just sourced are all prime examples of what this gemstone has to offer!

Picture Jasper is an opaque chalcedony (a form of microcrystalline quartz) characterized by its natural, scenic patterns and landscape-like inclusions that are formed by mineral impurities, water, and volcanic ash deposits.

This decorative gemstone, also known as "landscape jasper", creates images of mountains, valleys, and skies within the stone through its banded patterns. Historically, Jasper was valued by ancient cultures for its beauty and is now recognized as a grounding stone with metaphysical properties of connection to the Earth and promoting ecological awareness.
