Stitched Copper Crescent Earrings
These crescent shapes are a little less tall and also a little wider than my standard, popular crescent earrings of comparable sizes. Just like my standard crescents, these have really nice hammered textures that we create by hand, but the extra flair comes from the two stitches made of Sterling Silver wire. These are also suspended by Sterling Silver wire and earwires. Bold, yet lightweight and so versatile! Great with a dress or jeans!
Available in 2 sizes:
Small - 1 1/2" wide x 3/4" tall. They hang 2" from earwire to the bottom of the crescents
Large - 2" wide x 1 1/4" tall. They hang 2 1/2" from earwire to the bottom of the crescents
The mottled red color we achieve on our copper is due to our ability to apply a flame patina to each and every piece! First we treat all of our copper pieces and then hand torch them one by one where, after a certain temperature is achieved, a spontaneous and organic process occurs that creates an array of red/orange colors patterns where no two are exactly alike! (But we match them up to create balanced pairs!
We then finish them off with a durable wax that we hand buff to prevent unwanted patinating or color-changing down the road.
