Artemis Necklace with Your Choice of Crystal

$108

My "Artemis" collection was inspired by the Greek Goddess of hunting, the wilderness and wild animals! Equal parts feminine and badass warrior, my design for the Artemis earrings and necklaces features a hammered brass curved "bow", with a beautiful strand of crystal beads in the center.

Artemis, in ancient Greek religion, was the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, vegetation and of chastity and childbirth. (She was identified by the Romans as Diana.) Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and was the twin sister of Apollo. Among the rural populace, Artemis was the favorite goddess! Her character and function varied greatly from place to place but behind all forms lay the goddess of wild nature who danced, usually accompanied by nymphs in mountains, forests, and marshes.

Each Artemis necklace comes with your choice of crystal beads:

Opal - It is said that precious opal, with its display of fire, can spark creativity, and that the "dance" of its fire can help people enjoy their lives. The gemstone has been associated with the sacral chakra, imbalances of which can cause problems with addictions.

Turquoise - Turquoise is perhaps the oldest decorative stone in mankind's history, the Taliswoman of Kings and Queens, Shamans, and Warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.

Peruvian Opal - Peruvian Opal is said to improve one’s self-esteem and confidence, creativity and communication in the ability of the wearer. It’s associated with soft and relaxing energy.

Emerald - Being a stone of love and romance, Emerald will bring joy, enhance emotions, memory, faith and clairvoyance. It is said to benefit one’s intuition, promoting communication though truthfulness. For many, Emerald acts like a tranquilizer for one’s troubled mind.

Aquamarine - Because of its flowing, peaceful energy, Aquamarine has a strong ability to help move, protect and purify your own energy and thus aid emotional healing as well as deepen meditative states. Its energy can feel like splashes of fresh ocean water—playful and a bit mischievous, too!

Herkimer Diamond - Herkimer "Diamonds" have become commonly referred to as “The Stone of Attunement”. Its energies work to put you at ease while in uncomfortable environments and will guide you in the right direction in tough situations. Herkimers will raise your telepathic abilities and allow better communication with your spirit guides. They also have capabilities of increasing clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities due to their high frequency.

Moonstone is said to be a stone for “new beginnings”, as well as inner growth and strength. It soothes emotional instability and stress and stabilizes emotions, providing a sense of calmness. It also promotes inspiration and enhances intuition and success and good fortune in love and business matters.

Amethyst - A natural stress reliever, Amethyst encourages and supports inner strength. The strong healing energy of Amethyst can transmute lower vibrations to higher frequencies, transforming negative energy to love energy. Amethyst also provides a wonderful peaceful energy for meditations, and helps with developing intuition and psychic abilities.

Peridot - Peridot brings the gentle energy of kindness and compassion in a joyful and harmonious kind of way. It helps let go of the old by promoting a sense of renewal and regeneration. This is a stone that is often recommended for times of conflict in romantic relationships, as it helps soothe the energy and bring harmonious resolution to difficult situations.

Garnet - Known as the pomegranate stone, garnet is revered for its connections to creativity and love, symbolizing courage and positive thinking. The healing properties of Garnet are extensive, offering physical healing by enhancing sexual energy, flushing out toxins, and improving circulation, alongside mental and emotional healing by fostering self-confidence, nurturing relationships, and promoting a positive outlook.

Ruby - Ruby is believed to promote loving, nurturing, health, knowledge and wealth. It has been associated with improved energy and concentration, creativity, loyalty, honor and compassion. Ruby is thought to be protective of home, possessions and family.

Citrine - Citrine is focused on prosperity, joy, and energy. In times of low to moderate stress, Citrine is a perfect ally for realigning your energies back into balance. Citrine is also known as the "Merchant’s Stone", due to its ability to transmute energies quickly and easily, facilitating transfers of energy from one to another.

Sapphire - Sapphire is said to be the wisdom stone, stimulating concentration, enhancing creativity and promoting purity and depth of thought. It is believed to focus and calm the mind as well as remove unwanted thoughts, depression and mental tension.

Roman glass - Roman Glass is the result of a stunning piece of historic craftsmanship dating back 2,700 years to the time of the Roman Empire. Before then, glass was available only to the wealthy and was manufactured by core forming, casting, cutting and grinding. With the invention of the glass blowing around 50 BC, glass instantly became available to the less wealthy public. The Roman glass industry rapidly developed over a couple of generations during the first half of the first century A.D. Glass vessels became commonplace throughout the empire and were exported to places as far away as Scandinavia and the Far East.

Andesine - Andesine is associated with the heart chakra and is used to dispel negativity while providing clarity to one's thoughts. According to metaphysical beliefs, Andesine is also a grounding stone that can help ease stress.
