Turquoise Taliswoman Necklace with Gold Bail/ Gold Chain

$125

In 2022 I introduced a new TINY sized bail that we've been using to make a series of smaller Taliswoman pendants for necklaces and earrings. Here we've sourced some really beautiful Raw Turquoise bullet-shapes, perfect for one of these bails!

Turquoise is perhaps the oldest decorative stone in mankind's history, the Taliswoman of Kings and Queens, Shamans, and Warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.

The name Turquoise is derived from the French, pierre turquoise, meaning “Turkish stone,” because the trade routes that brought Turquoise to Europe from the mines in central Asia went through Turkey, and Venetian merchants often purchased the stone in Turkish bazaars.

For thousands of years, Turquoise has spanned all cultures, prized as a symbol of wisdom, nobility and the power of immortality. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection. Turquoise strengthens the meridians of the body and the subtle energy fields, enhancing communication between the physical and spiritual worlds. Placed on the Third Eye, it supports intuition and meditation. On the throat chakra, it releases old vows, inhibitions, and allows the soul to express itself once more.

Raw Turquoise "Bullet" is 3/4" tall x 3/16" wide. It is suspended from our Tiny GOLD VERMEIL Bail, wrapped with gold wire, and it hangs from an adjustable 14K GOLD 16"/18" Chain.

These pendants are made with GOLD VERMEIL! (Vermeil is a premier version of a thick electro-plating of 23.5 karat gold over a solid sterling silver base- it's the right solution for us to provide everyone who wants their 永 pieces in GOLD that are durable, beautiful and affordable!)  Still, we recommend that you wear these pieces gently and thoughtfully. The Vermeil is a surface finish after all, and although these pieces are quite stable, wearing these items regularly in the shower, for example, or while swimming (where various chemicals or elements could be abrasive to the finish over time) or being too rough with them, like tossing them onto a nightstand, could definitely damage their beauty!

*Please note that due to the nature of Raw Turquoise, the one you receive may differ slightly from the pictures, but it will be very close in size and color because they are all from the same batch!
