As part of my effort to incorporate birthstones into my collections, here is a lovely example from my new "AMETHYST / AQUARIUS" collection, incorporating my Hestia design!

Hestia was the Greek Goddess of the hearth and family. These earrings are delicate but noticeable. Forged brass organically frames this row of faceted Amethyst crystals. A little over 2 1/8" long including earwires and 5/8” wide 

Amethyst is a variety of quartz, with a vitreous or glassy luster. It typically comes in shades of violet and purple. The spiritual meaning of Amethyst is groundedness, tranquility, and calm. The literal meaning of Amethyst is “not intoxicated” – its name translates from the Greek word améthystos. To this ancient, wise culture, the Amethyst crystal was of the utmost importance, and the myth associated with it still lives on inside it to this day.
