Polychrome Jasper Teardrops in Medium Brass Hoops #9

These bookmatched Polychrome Jaspers are a bit of a departure from our usual, horizontally-patterned stones! The unique look of this pair is from the striations running vertically and the very pale peachy coloring found in each piece!

Polychrome Jasper
is a variety of Jasper that was only recently discovered on the Northern Coast of Madagascar! In 2008, while exploring for more deposits of the highly desired Ocean Jasper, the first deposit of Polychrome was accidentally found. Since then, two additional deposits have been found throughout the island. This Jasper is typically multicolored, with pastel hues of purples, tans and pinks.
